Bidrage med feedbackHad a stay in the hotel as well as their lounge menu and breakfast in their restaurant! their lounge menu of burger and chips, caesar salat with huh tasted pretty good. the chips are super chunky that I love. breakfast was a lot of choices, but. as a couple we chose the complete welsh breakfast consisting of sausage, speck, mushrooms, iron any style and baked beans. charming view of cardiff from the windows.
Sundays september to Sundays. the venue as daughter had high time there years courses for children such a bad quality meal. meat was transferred to death or dried. roasted potatoes evenly and dry. bad choice of uncooked...no paprika, boiled or cartomas. sweet selection poor. ice cream to accompany hot puddings - no custard. children had only courses, but were calculated for an extremely disappointing Sunday meal. drive for more minutes to the manor parc located in another league. paid pfunds for understandardized meals.
They have just returned to home after an extremely disappointing meal in the evening in the restaurant to celebrate our ruby high-time day. there was a choice only main courses. Lamb, steak, salmon with tiger garnel and a vegetarian court and were recommended that there were only steaks left. we could also choose from the lounge menu, but that was not very inspiring either. we were told that the menu choice was bad as they were in the process of changing it, which did not help us at all! both the appetizers and the puddings were simply in order and I must say that this was not good and more like a cheap super market brand. the young waitress who served us was very friendly and professional, but unfortunately the other staff were all young, inexperienced young. my man was brought a bottle of beer without glass! I must say we enjoyed better eating in local pubs! everything we wanted to celebrate a special occasion, and we are unlikely to come back soon.
Booked here for our anniversary meal as same chain as the caterers who did our wedding and it's in a lovely location over looking Cardiff. I emailed ahead to ask if they could put some candles on the table and give us a table away...from everyone for the romantic occasion, explaining it was our anniversary. On arrival, we were taken to a table in the corner, with one tiny tee light candle in the middle!! Halfway through our meal we were joined on the tabl right next to us by some random guest. Whilst staff were polite and friendly enough, there was no real effort. Such a shame as both venue and food are lovely.
Located on a hillside outside the city, The New House Hotel offers stunning views for miles. This was our second visit to this elegant establishment, which has a history dating back to the early The staff was attentive and accommodating, willing to accommodate modifications to the menu. Our meal included rack of Welsh lamb and tenderloin of pork, both of which were tasty, although we wished there were more vegetables served. Prices, while on the higher side, were reasonable considering the quality of the venue, service, and food. The New House Hotel is a great choice for a special occasion, and we highly recommend it.
