Restaurante Cabana Velha - Carcavelos

Wow…what a little gem. I can’t praise the owner and his wife more…wonderfully friendly hospitable couple serving classic simple seafood dishes.

Myself and 2 friends visited recently. It was my first visit and we were not disappointed. The service was very, very friendly and efficient, and the food was exactly what we wanted. Simple and authentic our choices were universally loved. The Sardines were wonderful as was the Calamari. I will definitely be returning to this charming restaurant at the earliest opportunity.

After booking for a table and half of the group arrived, were sit, relaxed and eating (other half were on the way to the restaurant). The manager's restaurant came and kicked us out. The justification was that there were other people waiting for a table to eat. He was extremely rude. I don't know if they have good food or not but, in my perception, in order to be a good restaurant, it's a MUST to have soft skill. Besides that, there are several great restaurants around this area with great quality. So, it's really their loss.
