The Famous Butcher's Grill - Cape Town

I had a really lovely first experience at the Famous Butchers Grill last night. We were welcomed warmly into the restaurant by the waitrons and there was a guy playing soft music in the background which just added to the ambiance significantly. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated. <br/ <br/ I ordered the kingklip with garlic butter and mashed potatoes. My friend ordered the steak and prawn combo 200g sirloin steak with 3 prawns, and he had it with a baked potato. <br/ <br/ Our food took about 20 minutes to arrive which isn't too bad. <br/ My kingklip was soft and tender, and the flavour of the garlic butter complemented the fish beautifully. The mash was also smooth and creamy. <br/ My friend's steak was cooked perfectly medium well as he requested. He said the sirloin was delicious and the prawns were spicy just the way he likes it. The baked potato was served with sour cream and was actually so big he could not finish it. <br/ <br/ Our waiter was really friendly and made us feel at home. The food was flawless and portions were really large which makes the price worth it I struggled to finish my kingklip. There is also ample parking outside in the street, as well as inside the hotel's secure parking (R30). I will definitely be back to try out other dishes on their extensive menu. <br/

Fanatastic food and ambiance! A definite place to come by if you need a fab streak whilst listening to some music. Will be back for sure in the future.

This is a meat lovers paradise. Thick, prime cut juicy steaks made to order. The chef really knows his steaks. I had the 200g Rump cooked medium rare and my wife had the 200g rump cooked well done (yes I know, its a cardinal sin haha). My steak literally melted in mouth it was that good. It was basted in a mustard and black pepper basting. Absolutely devine. Will definitely be returning here very soon.

I really enjoyed this place, the ambiance, the food our waitress Olivia was really spectacular with her Awesome service....definitely going back there...
