Leverock's - Cape Haze

Fresh baked rolls hot out of the oven and the coconut shrimp was delicious! Beautiful location to watch the sunset!

This was the absolute worst fish we have ever had! We are on vacation and wanted a nice dinner out.....boy did make a mistake going here. We started off with calamari. It was so overcooked it looked like jerky....seriously. We choked most of it down...after all we were paying an arm and leg for it. Lol We both said we were glad we didn't order anything else fried. Our entrees came.... and oh my. The dirty rice looked gummy and tasted overseasoned. The green beans...How can you screw those up...right? The beans tasted of oil. Now the fish. We ordered the pan seared grouper....it was supposed to have seasonings on it.....it didn't but also was overcooked. 1st time I had to cut grouper with a knife!!!! The other entree was the Mahi Mahi. The breading was thicker than the actual fish. It was a joke. The topping looked like wet cat food. We paid our bill and let our waitress know to inform the manager. She did offer to get the manager...but we did choke down some of the meal....so we paid for it. Extremely disappointed. The plus...the bread was good. Lol

What has happened to this nice restaurant????? Stop in with our boat passengers for lunch. They weren't busy but it took 1/2 to get seated. They was only a few table and I mean a few with people. Then 1/2 hour to get our order in and another 1/2 to get the food that came lukewarm. That was our last visit there. And we use to really like going there. Sad.

Staff was working hard but Quite obvious that they were short staffed a bit rattled. Food was satisfactory served in reasonable time.

This is a wonderful restaurant. We had delicious oysters on the half shell bronzed grouper sandwich really yummy barbecue brisket (sandwich and entree), Peel and eat shrimp, the fried calamari, clam chowder ....everything fresh and delicious. Tracy is a wonderful server!
