Mcalister's Deli - Cape Girardeau

Ate here a few times while living in the area. I always get the same thing, a baked potato with steamed broccoli. On one visit the broccoli tasted a little off but it looked fine so I ate it. Big mistake. I was horribly sick for the next 18 hours. If something like broccoli could go bad and not be noticed I wonder what else they have served that wasn't fresh. I have eaten at at least 20 other locations and never had an issue.

The sandwiches and wraps are really good. They are definitely over priced, BUT, they are good and the service is great.

We always enjoy McAlister's food, and this time was no exception. We took our food to go since we were passing through the area on a road trip. Everything was packaged so it stayed warm and yummy from the kitchen to our car. (Separating the pickle wedge from my sandwich in the to-go container made my day... sometimes it's the little things! The two ladies at the front were super friendly and helpful! Overall, we couldn't have found a more hospitable place to stop and grab a bite to eat. We are going to make this location a regular stop on our trip from now on!

Had really great service, just a nice bunch of people working there. The food was good. I recommend it.

I have to admit I just popped in to use the (clean) rest room. Food and service have been fine when I've actually eaten there.
