La Bottega Del Gusto - Capaccio

Had a lovely lunch here. We toured the archeological site and wanted a light lunch with local mozzarella . This place came up highly recommended on google search for such dishes. Food here is fresh , simple , very affordable, came out quick and was delicious. We even ordered desert !

Located immediately opposite the park exit (near the temple of Athena). Given the awesome location, you could easily expect a tourist trap. This is not. Instead, it is a small, family business that enthusiastically presents specialities from the region. Excellent platters of meats, vegetables and cheeses as well as wine from the Paestum region. After a delightful lunch, we toured the excellent Paestum museum and then went back inside the park for another visit to the main temples. Had a relaxed lunch here before entering the historical park. Meats and cheeses were absolutely delicious and the tray of side vegetables they take readymade from trays at the counter were also surprisingly delicious. Portions were generous. Overall, recommended!
