The Old Buttermarket - Canterbury

Beautiful pub with good food, an iconic location in canterbury. after the text on the walls, the butter market was connected via tunnel to the cathedrale (Escape route). the cakes are great and served with sweet and maic.

Beautiful atmosphere, large selection of drinks, eating was fab and staff very friendly. dog-friendly pub too. highly recommended

Stumbled across this place after a walking tour of the town on a Friday afternoon. Wasn't too busy so they were able to accommodate the 4 of us. Really friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and the food was brilliant! Perfect for a spot of lunch! Ordered some wine and ales too...went down a treat

This is my new favourite pub in Canterbury. It's location across from the Cathedral, great service, and a solid menu with both Vegan and traditional pub selections is just perfect. It can get quite busy during more touristy parts of the year. It's got a good history and lots of good artwork on the walls provides a great atmosphere.

Lovely old Pub! Nicholsons I believe. Little bar in the front and a bigger seating area and restaurant out the back. We had a pint of Amstel and a Puerto De Indias Strawberry Gin and Lemonade. £10.10. Looked like a nice menu for food but we didn't try any.
