Bidrage med feedbackWe 're from the UK, have spent the last 2 weeks and 2000 miles driving around Europe. We arrived here last night and looked at reviews and decided to eat here at pizzeria torchio. How disappointing! Clearly a non tourist location off the beaten track catering for locals rather than tourists. Waitress was both unfriendly and unhelpful. We were told an hour wait if we wanted a pizza. No problem. However it arrived within 15 minutes. Strange! We had a pizza each, no offer of chilli oil or pamesan, in fact any condiments whatsoever! Wanted to log onto wifi but everyone was clearly too busy to help us do so. That said there were perhaps only less than a third of tables occupied! Umm! Anyway the pizza was tasty enough, shame the service/ ambience couldn 't match. Perhaps they just don 't like foreigners. Who knows.
We have been in Cannobio for a week and ate here 3 times. The staff is so kind and friendly and the food is delicious!! The pizzas are a dream! I loved the atmosphere and that there's also a vegan option. We got a table even when the restaurant was almost booked up. There's a play corner for children which is great when you want to enjoy your food peacefully as a parent. ; Il Torchio is a very nice, family friendly, authentic and cozy restaurant. You should try the Giro Pizza no limits on a wednesday when you're here. Totally recommendable!! Next time we come to Cannobio we will definitely eat here again! Thanks to the amazing team at Il Torchio! See you next time :
Really enjoyed food and beverages grappa gialla is a must! The team is very enthusiastic, very quick and always helpful : We really loved to go there we rate them 11 out of 10 :
My husband and I went to Torchio for dinner the other day. He ordered Pizza Diavola which was huge and tasted nice. The portion was quite enough for two. I ordered the spaghetti amatriciana as well as grilled vegetables. The servers forgot to serve the latter. Even though they were quick to bring the food, it was very difficult to get the servers’ attention in the first place. The spaghetti were okay but i would recommend sticking with the pizza.
The place was recommended to us by our neighbors. Big Biergarten with big parking in front of it and almost full at 8pm on a Friday evening. We were lucky with a good service guy, the rest of the employees seemed not to really know what to serve to whom. The “Antipasti Casa” were quite simple, the noodles were salty and so was even the Pizza. Ok for an evening, but nothing I would go more often.
