Bidrage med feedbackWhile getting lost in Cannes we stunbled upon this tiny place. It's right next to the Market, on one of the side street. The waiter whose name is impossible to pronounce, was so nice and friendly. He explained to us that a piadina is a typical dish of northern Italy which ressembles a kind of savoury crepe.I had the Mozzarella and tomato piadina while our friends had the parma ham and cheese. The vegetarian piadina was also very good.Fresh pressed orange juice was only at 3 euros so it was very affordable. The waiter forgot to charge for my coffee but when I mentioned it to him, he just said it was on the house.Lovely place to sit down and relax while peole watching in Cannes.
I had the "Milano" piadina. The bread was a bit dry and the filling was a bit lacking (not much salami in there). It tasted descent. For such a big piece of bread, I would expect more inside. I am still hungry after finishing it.
Really easy, nice find thanks to trip advisor reviews. The special of the day was vegetarian lasagna, which was fantastic
Stumbled upon this little gem by accident Nice spot for a quick lunch. Relaxed. No pretentious airs like some of the other restaurants / cafes in Cannes. Very friendly owner. Nice vegetarian lasagne too.
The Forville market evokes beautiful fresh fruit and vegetables , fish directly from the Med landed at the fishermen's port in front of the Town Hall( la Mairie ) and sold by the fishermen's wives , charcuterie , cheeses , meat and poultry and of course high quality flowers BUT can now also boast a Piadineria. Apart from piadine, there is a choice of various salads and a dish of the day - usually Italian since the very courteous owner hails from Northern Italy .Italy and France make up the tandem ,since Graziano is ably helped by his colleague in the open kitchen which is in view of the bar customers. One can eat at the bar counter but also in a snug room higher up and at some mezzanine tables too. There are several outside tables too on the terrace in front which are accessible to wheel chairs. Drop in even for a coffee , you can be sure of a very friendly welcome from them both.Everything is sparkling clean and stainless steel is very much in evidence. There are also sweet piadine at prices around Euros 3.- , ice cream and chocolate mousse maison. The espresso coffee is very good , and wine, beer ,digestives and soft drinks are also available .
