Doc Brown's Bbq - Candler

The BBQ was good, the collards were good. The brisket and was some of the best we've ever had and worth the trip here just for that. Mac n Cheese were also very good. Also a surprise was the corn bread which was moist and delicious with just a tiny bit of char.. It's hard to find good corn bread(even though it's easy to make, most places ruin it). Will be back!

Who knew they had BBQ Tempeh??!!! I loved Doc 's as a meat eater, and I enjoy it just as much, now, as a vegetarian! I sent my foodie brother in law for a bite while he visited Asheville and he is RARELY impressed. He couldn 't stop raving about the knowledgability of the staff and the amazing food. The Mac&Cheese might just melt your heart, and its almost as inviting and comforting as the service. I really can 't say enough. Thanks for bringing another awesome spot to dine to Candler!!

From the moment I enter the door the environment is so welcoming. Olivia is just a true delight! Her customer service and follow up was wonderful! Also, the owner came out during my lunch yesterday and introduced himself and asked how I liked my meal. This is something I have never experienced before. Very impressed by that, and he was a Super nice guy! The pulled pork is the best I have ever had. I am super particular on my pulled pork, so that says A LOT. I enjoy the different side options and how they are different daily. Out of every side I have tried so far, they have all been amazing! And the dessert are to rave about as well. I highly recommend this restaurant to any and everyone. You will not be let down.

This is our favorite place to get bbq! You can't go wrong no matter what you get from here. Everything we have had has been absolutely delicious!! We walked in yesterday and they already pretty much knew what we wanted. We change the sides up but pretty much get the same entree every time. The ribs are so tender and delicious. The pork is the best. The fried cabbage, bourbon apple sauce, macaroni and cheese pie and the mustard cole slaw are fsntastic. The banana pudding is in a class all its own. We will fight over it. The staff is amazing!!!! In fact, they are top notch. Friendliest staff you will find anywhere!

Being from middle of NC I usually judge a BBQ place on their pork first, and Doc Brown's is certainly the best I've personally had around Asheville. Collards were pretty good as well. Cornbread was on the sweet side, but tasted good depends on your personal preference. Would highly recommend stopping by to give it a try.
