Flavours of India - Canberra

The food at this restaurant was fantastic. I ordered the banquet which was reasonably priced. The vindaloo was delicious and the butter chicken was a huge hit. It is one of the best Indian restaurants I have been to. However, the service was not great. The waiter seemed disinterested and reluctant to offer us certain lunchtime specials. Each dish came out on separate plates, which made it difficult to pass around the heavy plates of food. Additionally, some dishes took a very long time to be served. Overall, I would rate this restaurant 4 stars simply because the delicious food outweighs the service shortcomings.

Whenever we visit Canberra, this is our favorite place to have dinner. It was actually recommended to us by my Indian brother-in-law and it always impresses us. The food is tasty and portions are very generous. The staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and efficient. The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and is conveniently located in the heart of town. We look forward to returning soon.

This restaurant has an excellent menu with a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes. The flavors were perfect and the prices were awesome. It's definitely a favorite and I highly recommend it. The restaurant is clean and the service is fast. You can't go wrong here.

Good tasty Indian food, reasonable prices (mains <20). Can be spicy, have to ask for less spice if you are so inclined. Some of the seating is out in the 'lobby ', so to speak, which is noisy and has people walking past. If the restaurant is nearly full, the lobby seating is the only part available. The metal chairs are uncomfortable in the lobby part.

This is our meeting place for dinner when we visit Canberra. Was recommended by my Indian brother in law and not to please us. The food is delicious and comes in generous portions. The staff is incredibly helpful, friendly and efficient. It also has a beautiful atmosphere and is directly in the center of the city. We'll be back soon.
