Rio Tomatlan - Canandaigua

Be aware that the guacamole, which I tend to assume will be vegan and usually don't even ask, is NOT vegan. I really just wanted to post this note and not leave a rating since it's been a while since I've eaten here, but a rating is required.

Terrific regional Mexican food. While there are not many vegan options on the menu per se, the kitchen is flexible and will customize the vegetarian dishes for you.

The staff is very friendly, there are live bands sometimes (not recently becuase of covid). They have Vegan options to replace their meats. Very nice lit place, not too bright, not too dim. If you order Vegan make sure you order your side beans and rice vegan also. If not, your beans will have cheese and your rice will have butter on them. Make it VERY clear you don't want cheese on your beans tho, have gotten cheese on my beans plenty of times after asking for no cheese on them.

This is the best restaurant on DoorDash. The food is consistently excellent.

We always enjoy the same items at the restaurant, but when we order them through DoorDash, they are never correct. For example, we received a Machete Quesadilla with only cheese inside one time, and with chicken and chipotle sauce both inside and on the side the next time. We will probably avoid ordering from here again unless we can dine in at the restaurant. It's puzzling why the orders are always so inaccurate when delivered.
