I 've been there several times and it is a great place. Excellent food. Great menu. Wonderful arròs a la cassola .

On a recommendation we will try today Local Social in Campllong. It is a Thursday afternoon and at 13.30 it is very busy and we have to wait almost half an hour. It smells very tasty and I see delicious dishes passing by, including snails. At the table we get the handwritten menu. 3 courses 11 €. There are no snails on the menu. On request they also have a menu of 16 €, with snails. As an appetizer we choose macaroni Bolognese and breaded fish. The macaroni is dry and I add some more flavor with pepper and salt and olive oil. Has probably been waiting too long for me and was warmed up. The little fishes taste delicious, but the large pieces of breaded fish needed some herbs. As a main course we choose black rice and baked mackerel. The rice, made in ink, tastes fine, but the mackerel is baked on the grill, so dry and missing herbs. The garlic with parsley has been sprayed onto the bone that has to be removed. As dessert we choose both for crema catalana. It is a pudding, because the burned sugar crumb is missing. The pudding tastes good. The Local Social in Campllong is a great asset to a thriving village. It really is the centre of things a very modern 'village hall ' of the type we have never had in England. A great place to socialise, watch Barcelona games on a big screen, tale English lessons, learn to line dance, or get a really good lunch. The day we went the menu had a choice of seven starters and six main courses. Beautifully cooked and presented, served with water and wine. The three of us also had desserts and coffees and the total bill was 32 Euros. That has to be a bargain.
