Bidrage med feedbackFood was tasty and arrived in a timely manner. We ordered bibimpap, egg baked tofu and Korean spring rolls. However servings weren't very generous. Service was good and ambience was dimly lit. It was a good experience overall, but I felt that I didn't receive much value for the amount I paid and servings were quite small!
No frills Korean, but damn good. The Kim chi is unlike any I've had before, it is crispy and mild but still full flavoured. Matched with sprouts it is a very good side dish. The seafood pancake here is off the hook, so good. It's lightly fried, doughy and subtly flavoured which allows the seafood to really sing. Then it's taken to another level when you dip it into the sweet and sour soy based sauce, which by the way is perfectly balanced.Don't shy away from the dodgy looking exterior. Inside the service is warm and the food is quality stuff.
Driving home along Parramatta Road after post work drinks, it's hard to avoid the lure of bad food but just up from the awful arches, vivid blue and red neon illuminates a healthier domain. This inexpensive, little Korean restaurant boasts a kitchen happy to receive diners after ten on a school night! Dining right before I gave up octopus, I can guiltily report Takoyaki $6.90) topped with dried bonito and springy greens are tasty. The standout dishes here are the mainstays of Korean cuisine: bibimbap and bulgogi. The hot pot of Beef Bibimbap $13.50) is a complete and oil free) meal in a bowl thin strips of beef, abundant vegies and rice with raw egg and chilli sauce stirred through at the table for a creamy finish. Invest in a Pork Bulgogi Set $19) to compliment the sweet and salty strips of grilled pork with kim chi an essential part of any Korean meal), miso soup and assorted pickles. The dish was well balanced on one visit, and oversweet on another. Regardless, it sui
Great food recommended!!. I had dinner with my best friends at Open Korea, We ordered 'sizzling plate ' for 2 people, It was very unique and delicious. Korean beer (hite) was excellent with it. enjoyed it
Great little restaurant. I love Open Korea for the food and great value. Seafood pancake and chicken teriaki are my current favourites. Prices are reasonable across the menu. Staff are always friendly, even when run off their feet, and often give us a little something extra to enjoy. We were introduced to the green soy beans that way delicious!
