Pieminister - Camden

We came here for lunch on Monday 13th December after taking some books to City University.We walked from Angel to Leather Lane and were rewarded with their lovely pies,mash,mushy peas and gravy,I had the mushroom and asparagus,delicious! I wish there were more branches all over London!

I had Pieminister on my radar because of their unique presentation of pies. They serve pie on top of mashed potatoes with gravy, optional minted peas, cheese, and crispy onions. Pieminister originally started in Bristol but has now expanded to various locations, including several in London. Be prepared for long queues at their Farringdon Branch on Leather Lane. During my visit in December, I had a tough time deciding between their festive pies and regular options. Eventually, I went for the Mistle Moo Pie (beef steak, port, and bacon) and chose the Mothership option, which includes pie, mashed potatoes, minted mushy peas, Cheddar, and shallots. Unfortunately, they did not have tea available, and I had trouble getting water as the tap was broken. Despite this, the pie met my expectations with chunks of beef in a rich port gravy. The combination of cheddar, shallots, and gravy was delightful, and I am excited to return and try their other pies, such as the Heidi, Saag pie-neer, and Kevin.

We tries these delicious pies at the South Bank, and we can't get enough! The prices are reasonable, the stuff (nice, funny guy, singing) was awsome! Try it, if in London!

Visited this place based on my friend's recommendation and I was not disappointed. I had a pie with mash and gravy to take away (in a nice box) for £7. The filling was good unlike some pies that you cannot tell what is inside. They have nice names for the pies too. Just beef is called a Moo. I ordered a MooDog. Not sure why as it was beef and bacon. Perhaps it should be MooPig or MooOink! Anyway, I enjoyed it very much and will definitely be back.

Me and my colleagues from work went for lunch and we dined in the restaurant. The food is really genuine and we enjoyed it very much. We will definitely go back. Pie and 2 sides plus a topping was only £8.50
