Marlborough Arms - Camden

An odd combination of excellent and poor. Excellent: Beer (though shame that Greene King is now Chinese-owned:)friendly and quick service; good ambience; very good chicken pie Poor: the place was cold (radiators not on despite it being a cold January evening); mushy peas were not mushy peas (though in our limited experience of London pubs, this seems typical; not enough chips). They stop serving food at 6pm , which seems bizarre.

Best pub in Bloomsbury; such a great vibe, amazing food, and the bar staff are some of the best in town. Lilja in particular is really nice and always makes me feel welcome; will keep coming back!

I had the worst experience at this restaurant. I was offended by a female bartender who first refused to provide me with my free cocktail drink, even though the code was valid and indicated that it should be served. When I asked for an alternative, she rudely told me they didn't have it in stock. I then requested to speak to a manager, and a man named Jamie informed me they were out of stock and couldn't provide the drink, even though it was supposed to be free. When I argued that the code was valid, he accused me of being rude. This was the worst service I've ever experienced, with no ethics, courtesy, or trained customer service. I will never go back, which is what Jamie said he wanted too, but it's the owner's loss.

Thank you to Jamie and the team for supporting my group booking at the Marlborough Arms, we had a great night and customer service was great despite how busy all areas were with other Christmas events!

Fantastic little bar very close to hotel Staff were exceptional and friendly also knowledgeable about there beers etc Great prices for London And I have to mention the manager who was superb sorry I cannot remember your name but young chap with beard) Thanks again
