Bidrage med feedbackGood restaurant with very good cocktails. if they are in the city for restaurant week, in any case they try this place wing were interesting, crispy, but too much pfeffercorn taste and not enough of the grumping effect. the bark was good and so was the pig bell. the desserts were not so great. good service.
Five years and ran and survived a two-year pandemic as high-end Chinese bistro, no longer needed to say that sumiao has made its name around the city and has established itself as the go-to, authentic and western friendly Chinese restaurant in boston. I have been here since the opening in 2017 and write this review for the points of google maps. Of course, if they live in boston and in the real Chinese cuisine have not yet been here, they are minded to pick up a little.
Many thanks to all others more valued for their recommendations. everything we did. was good, except our least favorites was the yellow flow bark because it wasn't as good as the other dishes. the nom numb huh, five spicy brat meat, lava fish, fire bark meat, spicy cauliflower, aubergine and bean were all great.
I live very close to chinatown in the inner city of boston. that's better than all of them. most menus in chinatown offer their menu to Cantonese diners. sumiao offers another demographic of Chinese. most of their customers are pulled by the universities and dense biopharma firms at the kendall square. their menu points are very unique, cook hunan style. none of the things I had tonight would be found in one of the chinatown restaurants. there were five of us. I was the only caucasian. we'll be back soon.
If you like spicy food, this place is for you. You are welcomed by amazing smell as you approach the restaurant. We ordered purple yam bao which was delicious and scallion pancake which was flaky and nice. For mains we ordered a Sumiao hot dry noodles which was spicy and ofcouse dry. With chili oil it tasted lovely. 3 stars because I wasn’t satisfied with their cocktails. Lychee royale and common speech. All of the food we ordered were vegetarian/vegan
