I'd visited the Red Lion shortly after moving to Cambridge about 3 years ago but decided to give it another go this weekend for Sunday treat. We were very impressed at the improvements they've made all around and I will definitely be booking again in the future before I move away The pub was busy as it usually is on a Sunday but the staff were really polite, friendly, and attentive and I was impressed at how speedy the service was despite it being filled to the brim today! Our food was great classic elevated pub grub and done really well. Portion sizes were spot on and the food was just perfect for a Sunday lunch. The atmosphere was really nice and I love the efforts they've gone to to make the place cosy and festive. I'll be graduating in Summer next year and will definitely consider the Red Lion for my post graduation celebration meal! Thanks for a lovely Sunday meal. We were not expecting much as we arrived tired on a Tuesday evening. However, both the food and the beer were truly magnificent. Moreover, the waitress was wonderful, accommodating my partner's very exacting requirements. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
