Baguette Cafe and Deli - Caloundra

Chose to have breakfast here yesterday morning. We should have known it was going to be a bad experience when we had to clear our own table. Placed order for coffee and pancakes. The coffee arrived after about 5 minutes - good coffee. 25 minutes later, still waiting for pancakes. The waitress said they were coming NOW. 6 minutes later they arrived and we were told that our order had been placed ahead of other orders???? The order was for pancakes, warm berries, icecream and syrup. The warm berries didn't arrive. When I asked for them, I was asked "Oh do you want them now". I said that what I wanted was a nice hot coffee to have with the pancakes! 15 minutes later our second coffee arrived. The pancakes had long been eaten. We would not recommend or return. The pancakes were not great. There are plenty of other nice cafes in the main street of Caloundra.

Tables covered with white paper which was filthy. Had to ask waitress for menu and several times for water. One waitress obviously had family at a table so spent most of her time talking to them or on a mobile phone. Really slow service and meal arrival, they were not that busy. Would not recommend or return

The food was very good, the service was quite fast.

I would describe this as the best small cafe in the area. It's always packed, but don't be deterred by that.

This morning, we decided to have breakfast at a restaurant. Unfortunately, our experience started off poorly when we had to clear our own table. We ordered coffee and pancakes, but the coffee took 5 minutes to arrive and the pancakes took 25 minutes. The waitress informed us that our order had been placed before others, but the warm berries we ordered never arrived. When we inquired about them, we were asked if we wanted them now. We just wanted hot coffee with our pancakes! Our second coffee arrived 15 minutes later, long after we had finished our pancakes. Overall, we were disappointed with the service and quality of the food and would not recommend or return to this restaurant. There are plenty of other lovely cafes on the main street of Caloundra to choose from.
