RESTAURANTE EL CLAUSTRO

This is a superb restaurant one of the best we’ve ever been to. Chef Laura and our server, Manuel, made this an amazing experience. Everything about the evening was beautifully planned and the food was out of this world.

This was our favorite dining experience of the trip. From the time we arrived till the last bite, everything was perfect. Our server Manuel was great. He even helped with a food restriction in our party. Such an amazing dinner with wine pairing, can’t say enough. The restaurant was also very beautiful, like a fairytale really. Must do !

1621 is the best part of the Sofitel Santa Clara property. The meal and service were both top notch, with a bill that doesn’t come close to equaling the tremendous experience (this meal would be 2-4X in most cities in the US Western Europe). From start to finish, 1621 was truly a one of a kind dining experience. The passion of the service shines bright throughout the meal…. They honor the history of the property in a very unique way, our waiter, Jesus, was excellent, and the others that pitched in during our 10-course dinner were also superb. The food presentation were at a Michelin level and you definitely do not leave hungry. If you are in Cartagena for a special experience, don’t overthink it….. 1621 is absolutely worth every second, every peso, and every course. 10/10

What an amazing experience! We tasted so many varieties of food that all complimented each other. The wine pairings were on par with the meal. I definitely recommend the wine pairing option. Give this restaurant a try, but make sure you have a reservation.
