Bidrage med feedbackBeautiful place. Juan and Perry are there to serve you with great service. Juan's desserts are by far the best I have had in the country so far. To explain this I must direct towards the typical desserts you find in CR. Tres leches, lemon pie, cookies and pecan pie. You can find these in many places but in Underground, the texture, delicacy and flavor is top tier. The coffee is amazing and has a great variety. Relaxed and cozy environment. Cannot ask for more if you're looking for great coffee
If you want great coffee, this is the place! The presentation and taste is incredible, it may take a while for you to get your order and the place is kind of hidden, so make sure to ring the bell so they open up the gate for you, and go straight to the end of the hall behind that yellow gate...
This hidden gem of a coffee shop was a pleasant surprise! Although we initially walked right past it, we soon discovered that it was tucked away behind a yellow gate (simply buzz to be let in). The coffee here is top-notch, with a selection of 6 different types of coffee beans to choose from for a filter brew. The owner is knowledgeable and happy to guide you through the options. For ₡2000, you can enjoy any filter coffee brewed to your liking. I was thoroughly impressed with my choice and would definitely recommend this spot to fellow coffee enthusiasts. It's a shame that they're not open in the mornings!
This restaurant serves amazing coffee and has a really friendly staff. The barista was Czech, so we were able to speak with him in Czech. They were happy to provide recommendations and samples of their coffee. We even saw one of the coffee farmers visiting to see how his coffee was being used. They offer a variety of medium and light blends, perfect for drip or french press. I regret not buying coffee from them. The only downside is that it's a bit challenging to find the place - you have to go through a yellow gate to the back near some offices, with no signs out front. However, if I ever return to San Jose, I would definitely make this a must-stop for coffee. Also, they make a delicious espresso tonic as a bonus!
I absolutely adore this coffee shop. The Peanutbutter Cheesecake is hands down the best dessert in San Jose. They offer a variety of coffee options and different brewing methods. The Cuban Sandwich was also fantastic.
