Restaurante Rocha Mar - CALHETA

We spent perfect 10 days nearby. And we can announce: Rocha Mar is the best restaurant in Calheta! This is for sure.

Tourist trap. Food is average at best, waitress is rude as getting our food means she had to take a break from keeping her chair warm. They also managed to serve us flat beer. V little positive things I can say about this place.

Food: We ordered a Paella for two people. The paella was stale, espacially the rice didn´t taste like much compared to other paellas. On top of that the mussels smelled off, my partner ate it anyways and sure enough we had to spend the next...More

Although it had a fair selection of seafood, I didn't quite like the sidedishes. The vegetables were really soggy and sour. Also, there weren't too many choices of sidedishes to choose from, you could either go for the vegetables or for the mashed potatoes, none of which were impressive in any way. It looked like a cheap restaurant, but the prices were mid-range. The waitress was nice, although the food wasn't.

Visited for evening meal. Great choice if you're a fish eater. Had steak myself big portions but not good quality. Wouldn't recommend.
