Bidrage med feedbackWe stopped in for a beer on Sunday, sat for 10 minutes (unhelped) watching listening to the poor girl who was working alone. She flat out told a table 'I hope you 're not in a hurry! ' so we just left didn 't want to stress her out anymore than she clearly already was. I 'd think that they 'd have more than one person working on a weekend in the summer, especially in a large place like this?!
Exactly what you'd expect from an English pub with rooms attached. The rooms are small and the bar is fun. We stopped in on our way through town for a night and they had rooms available on the day of the reservation. After arriving we got our room key and went straight to the bar for a few pre bed drinks. The local crew was fun and upbeat, very welcoming. The room itself is very European.. . Ie.... small. But it wasn't advertised any other way, and for $95 A night it was fine. There was a late nightish crowd that left the bar pretty loud around midnight but I guess that's to be expected. We had a good night's sleep and we left in the morning with no real issues. I'm sure we will be back for the same event next year.
Really nice pub/restaurant. Very good food and nice choice of beers. Friendly/good service cool decor are nice too. I'll go back. WARNING about their website. Web Of Trust reports the Royal Duke website has malware of viruses. For this reason alone I will not stay there this week as I really don't want to risk infecting my computer. You should address this Royal Duke!
My wife and I decided to try out the menu and went with the 8oz NY Steak sandwich, which was delicious. The restaurant has a little bit of everything to offer and the service provided by Melissa was excellent. The atmosphere is great, with a spacious billiards room, plenty of TVs to watch sports, and a private room with VLTs. What really impressed me was that the Royal Duke is a family-friendly establishment, allowing kids under 5 to dine with their parents until 8:00pm. It reminds me of the pubs in the UK where families can enjoy a meal together. Overall, I was very impressed with the atmosphere, lighting, decor, and food at the Royal Duke. I will definitely be returning soon.
The Royal Duke is an extreme improvement over the Willy. The bar has gone from an old westerner bar to a hip and new bar with a great interior. All of the staff have been very nice and friendly as well. The prices are about average with bars, without many specials that I've had the opportunity to take advantage of. Good place to go and have some drinks and hopefully I can get back there to try the food soon as it looks good as well!
