River Café - Calgary

I absolutely adore the atmosphere of this restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding. It was a bit of a trek to get there, but the twinkling Christmas lights added a touch of romance. This spot is perfect for romantic dinners, gatherings with friends, or business lunches. I highly recommend giving it a try!

I enjoyed the beautiful views and peaceful ambiance of having a Sunday brunch here in the park. The service was excellent. The quality of the food was good, although it was a bit expensive for what you get.

I had been wanting to visit this restaurant for a while now, and finally got the opportunity to do so. It was a great spot, with a lovely walk to get there. I ordered the duck, which was absolutely delicious, and enjoyed it with a glass of prosecco. My companions had the burger and pies, which they also enjoyed. The atmosphere was really pleasant, with large windows letting in the sunshine. I can't wait to return for more of their amazing food.

Considering the price, the food is not that great, but good. Food presentation is not up to my expectation for an upscale restaurant. My husband had 'hog wild boar ' and I had halibut, I prefer his dish to mine. Service was good.

The food is consistently amazing at this restaurant but the servers seem robotic. And I've experienced this on more than one occasion and have heard it from other friends. The servers need to be more friendly, more engaging, get to know the people eating (if that's the vibe they're putting out) and generally just create a whole experience beyond just the food. I have not seen anyone capable of doing this at the River Cafe. It's unfortunate.
