Bidrage med feedbackPie day desserts were incredible. also the hearty cakes. we recommend!
Really disappointing. the woman on the counter was very rude. when we came to our order, it seemed like a job for them (our worry, we will not be back to spend our money here.) the crust was much too thick and hard. it made the cake hard to eat and the size of the mini-pies was unpleasant (too large to be held by hand, too small to properly cut filling was delicious. Salted honey was our favorite.
Unfortunately we were disappointed with our lemon balms. we bought it for a family meeting over ostern. the people couldn't even finish their pieces. the taste was too strong I wonder if a mistake was made on this approach? it was unusable.? the cake looked beautiful and the presentation packaging were beautiful though?
The business is appropriately named as the pies are JUNK! We went to the Crowfoot location. Without a doubt the WORST lemon meringue pie we have ever had. The crust was so tough that a knife would not cut through it. I had to use the very tip of a butchers knife to try and get through the crust. The lemon filling was a runny custard with a bitter taste. For $29.00 this is disgusting! Was so hopeful it would be good. I will never go to Pie Junkie again. My mother in law is 89 and said she has never had such a tough pie crust ever. If was funny seeing her pick it up like a piece of pizza to try and bite through the crust! Wish I had just gone to Co-op, Safeway or Sobeys as they make far better pies.
Amazing. Every single pie. Went here for the first time the other day after apparently living under a rock, was not disappointed. My favourites were the Steak, Stout Gruyere, and the Banana Toffee for the sweet pies. In addition to the above mentioned, we tried: Raspberry cheesecake, Coconut cream, Salted Honey, Minced Meat, Aussie Beef, Onion Cheese (hand pie), and Steak Mushroom. Close seconds: Aussie Beef (Tangy, Worcestershire flavor), and Salted Honey (not terribly sweet, texture like a creme brulee).
