Bidrage med feedbackAfter Alpha class, a group of us needed to grab a quick bite before Church and some of us (John refuses to go to 64th Ave Pho. We decided to go to Pho Mai Thy (yay new pho place! . We were joined by Erin, James and Jenna!. The restaurant is huge and can accommodate large groups. It was a Sunday, so it was not too busy. The staff were friendly and quick that day, which was great since we were rushed and oh so very hungry.
Food is good so far but they're still learning how to be efficient. Understaffed during peak times leading to long delays... menu has an extremely large variety which would attract the general public. Nice display of food and the vegetables are really fresh. Sauces are tasty too.<br/ <br/ Didn't get any cutlery or napkins until we asked for it. Tea came right away but refills took a while.
I have zero expectations for this places as I honestly find it difficult to judge vietnamese restaurants based on other peoples reviews. The place was very busy for a Saturday night; I'd say about 3/4 full with high turnover. The menu is extensive and the service is fast. Hubby and I were pleasantly surprised about the food. It was a lot better than we expected. The pho was actually pretty good. The spring rolls were crispy with no soggy interior. The fish sauce wings had great flavor. The wraps were great and such a large portion and I loved the variety of herbs they provided. Hubby said the grilled pork chop rice tasted good. They're offering 10% off until December 15th.
New pho place in Calgary!! This place isn't bad, (the prices are fairly cheap in comparison to other places in Calgary). The soup itself has a fair amount of MSG but otherwise there's a good portion of noodle and beef. I'd recommend trying it out though! Service is quick and friendly!
One of the best Vietnamese place in Calgary. Definitely worth seeking out for a try. The space is clean and spacious, unlike your regular pho restaurant, the high ceiling and bright lights makes for a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy the meal.<br/ <br/ The food was incredible. We (3 people) ordered a bunch of dishes and asked for small bowls to share. 1) bun no hue, 2) bun rieu, 3) beef salad, 4) and this shrimp paste wrapped in tofu sheets and deep fried. Everything tastes very authentic, and full of flavour. The salad and shrimp wrap was refreshing to the palate. <br/ <br/ Really enjoyed our experience! Would recommend to anyone new to Vietnamese cuisine, lots of variety!!<br/ <br/
