Illichmann's Sausage Shop Ltd - Calgary

This place is more of a deli than a restaurant. They offer a variety of Polish kielbasa styles and happily provided us with samples. We also purchased some loose sausage meat, which we used as filling for soft shell tacos. The seasoning was great and the prices were reasonable.

While not a traditional lunch spot, you can easily leave with everything you need to make a great sandwich. They offer custom orders, party trays, hams, turkeys, and more. The service is top-notch and walking into the shop gives off a nostalgic feeling, with everything cut and wrapped in brown butcher paper. After experiencing this level of quality and service, you'll question why you ever went to a massive supermarket again.

I only go there for one specific item. They are not open Monday inconvenient so I went there Tuesday opening hours are at 900 Am at 915 door was still not open. I decided to bang on the window since I drove a ways to pick up the item. It took a while before they opened the door. Luckily I was able to see people through the window so I knew someone was there but they surly did not rush to open the door. Also not sure if owners are new but employees are of a certain culture different from before and not very friendly. Luckily I only go there once a year

It's a pretty good place to buy meat, and there's Hispanic cashiers too

Bought 3 kilos of skirt steak and it was so tough we could hardly eat it..
