Empanada Queen - Calgary

I stumbled across the Empanada Queen at the Lilac Festival in Calgary and had the opportunity to try some of their empanadas. I had the beef, spinach and feta and the cheese empanadas with a side of salsa. The prices were very reasonable for the amount of food provided. The empanadas themselves were golden brown and were marked with the flavor so there was no confusion. Once I bit into them I found a good crunch and amazing flavors. They were moist and full of different textures and the salsa was some of the best I've ever had. This is a definite must try if you see them out and about.

I couldn’t help myself. I had to try a chicken AND a beef empanada. Absolutely delicious! (I think I might have found the best empanadas in the world and they’re in a Chilean restaurant in Calgary.

Always so good. Always make it a point to get some when I come to Calgary.

I took the time to read all the reviews because I knew the bad reviews were written by Chilean people. I am Chilean too and this place is fantastic, of course the food is not as good as the food cooked by my mom (sorry Empanada Queen lol . Everything is delicious, is very difficult to cook Chilean food in Calgary. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. My husband is Canadian and we really like this place : .
