Bidrage med feedbackI've only ever tried their smoothies from here (which are pretty good btw) and my coworker convinced me to give their food a try. She is a frequent patron and boasts the eatery's use of free range eggs, everything made from scratch, all natural ingredients, etc. Every Tuesday and Friday the Chef makes eggs Benedict, so I had that last week. It wasn't bad I like how the Hollandaise sauce is lighter than most other places and isn't as heavy, but what I loved was the hash. The Chef has his own blend of seasoning and I don't know what he used, but it was really delicious and addicting! <br <br While the food was decent, I didn't feel that welcomed there. I've read somewhere that the Chef has worked at some of the more well known restaurants hotels in Canada. Yet any attempt to make small talk with him was met with barely an acknowledgement. I would say something like, yeah, my coworker sent me down here boasting some of your best [items]! He'd respond with a, yeah? And that was it. He wasn't even curious who my coworker was even though he knows who she is. The whole experience was pretty much an awkward silent interaction. I thought he'd be excited to talk about food or tell people about his business given his resume. For a place that relies a huge chunk of their business on office clientele, I would expect them to be more engaging to their patrons. <br <br Oh well. I've tried.
A step up from Starbucks. I write this review only to set expectations straight as I was quite surprised when I tried this place out. I saw it referred to in a review as a restaurant which it is definitely NOT. More like a Starbucks order at the counter with an expanded menu and a few tables in the wide open atrium of an office building. I arrived at about 6:30 am to find staff setting up for the day. They offered to make me something like an omelette if I wanted. But there were only two small fresh muffins the one I ordered looked and tasted like a Starbucks muffin. I ordered a double cappuccino and the cashier went to grab a paper cup. When I asked for a for here cup she said they were too small. But the guy offered to refill the smaller for here cup. I noticed they had coconut milk which I make cappuccinos at home with so I ordered that. It was only after I ordered that I noticed the coconut milk was from a Tetra Pak not the fresher milk in cartons that I use. Had I known I would have had mine with regular milk. I am not going to vote on this one as the fruit they were cutting up looked fresh and no doubt their hot menu items are freshly prepared and delicious. But for a light breakfast I think I'll stick to the Starbucks in our hotel which has a similar menu and is more conveniently located and has a cozier atmosphere.
The food at this place is absolutely amazing! The staff is also very friendly. They've been open for just over a month, so go check them out and spread the word.
Superb Eats. This little cafe offers the best food in and around the Bow. Their gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options are all stellar, and the staff continuously go out of their way to make the experience the best it can be. I didn't eat at the cafe that was previously in this location, so I can't compare, but the current business owners are setting the bar very high in terms of freshness and quality of food.
