Ceili's Modern Irish Pub - Calgary

I went to this restaurant for lunch while at work and ordered a burger and a beer. The restaurant was busy, but the service was still excellent. While there were some Irish offerings on the menu, the overall atmosphere didn't feel like a traditional Irish pub - it seemed more like a modern bar in an office building. The burger was incredibly delicious, as were the fries. Despite expecting to visit an Irish pub, I enjoyed my meal and would definitely eat there again.

We were very impressed with how big the actual Pub was, but the menu was less than appetizing. Most of the items listed were quite spicy, so we ordered a pound of salt pepper wings, which were just average. We left after a beer...each and the wings.

It is called a modern “ Irish pub “, when nobody asked why . It's loud and brash and totally forgotten.

Average food and service. Don't get the calamari small, hard, overcooked. Fionn MacCool's is better.

The food and drinks were okay, but the service was lacking. Despite having many servers, we had to wait a long time to get a drink, even though the restaurant was only 25% full. The staff seemed more interested in playing on their phones than attending to customers. A friend of mine had a similar experience, waiting 10 minutes to be served only to be told that last call had been made. Additionally, we were not happy with the smoking outside. Overall, we were not satisfied with our experience and do not plan on returning.
