Angel's Drive In - Calgary

Eating is not good, but it's such a sweet little dune! It is rare to find these days. Please note that you need to get your food at the counter, but a tip of min 15% is displayed on the credit card machine. A little annoying.

The staff was friendly. The food was terrible. We had a few bites and left the rest. Wouldn't advise anyone to go there. Very bad value for money.

We wanted to try this restaurant in town and went on weekends. Sure. I expect it to be more business, but it seemed to be undermined for the volume they did. We had to wait for a while > 25 minutes) only to order and then... wait for the food. The food was good and the rolls were beautiful and fresh. The part of the curly pommes we had in our combo was more than expected. The food value was there, but I wish the wait wasn't so long.

The best milkshake in Calgary!! I must say, this review is well overdue. Back in May, I suddenly had a craving for milkshakes and with limited options due to Covid restrictions, I decided to try out more than a dozen different milkshakes across the city. Milkshakes should have that perfect combination of cream, sugar, and whatever flavor you choose, and this spot nails it right down to the very last sip. Even the popular spot on 16th Ave starts to lose its magic after a while. The staff at Angels are truly angels themselves. Despite being incredibly busy on most days, they are incredibly friendly and attentive to each customer. I highly recommend trying their chocolate oreo or real fruit strawberry milkshake. Get the jumbo size - it will disappear in no time!

I highly recommend this restaurant. We tried the cheese and BBQ burger combos with curly fries and onion rings, accompanied by milkshakes. The burgers were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. The onion rings and fries were a generous portion and cooked perfectly. The milkshakes were thick and delicious. We will definitely be returning.
