Nessie's Nest - Caledonia

The halibut was very good, the fries were a little greasy. Friendly staff and quick service. The portions are huge but the quality is good. Don't expect a large storefront, its a small space but large enough to serve good food.

I was reluctant to try this fish n chip place after reading recent reviews but I thought I would see for myself. They have had a few different owners over the past few years. Some good some not. I think they read reviews because the chips were perfect, not burnt and the fish was really good and flaky. Had the haddock and chip meals and coleslaw. All were excellent. We have ordered from them twice in the past 2 weeks and both times they were right on the mark. I have to admit it was better when we ate it right away. You have to realize the longer it stays packed up while travelling home to eat it, the quality will decline. two thumbs up. Keep up the good work.

Nessie's Nest is the best fish and chips I've ever had. Every time I come in I get a warm welcoming hello. Their food is fantastic and is reasonably priced!

Chips are consistently burnt and inedible, would be laughed out of Britain. Fish is alright, not too much better, good flavour. But PLEASE turn down the fryer on the chips!!

We came to get fish n chips to go and we had soggy fish and fries not all the way cooked....was very disappointed for first time going there ....
