Bidrage med feedbackJP's menus has changed. They have moved back to there BBQ past. They still have tacos but all are bbq based. The owners and operators are great people. They still do business with a handshake and there word is there bond. The Briskit is good and moist; could have a better bark; flavor still good. The pork but is great, and the sausage was good. Not bad at all. The bbq sause has a nice peppery kick to it. If your in Caldwell give it a try. Come by early to get a full selection before they run out.
The Tacos here are Terrific. As close to Home as possible that I'm going to have!!!
If you have eating a JP's taco then you are missing out. Best I have eaten yet!!!!!
On the road to college station to watch some auto racing and found this Uber Dive on the way..3 bacon, egg, cheese, and tater tacos to go!!..fast and friendly and some killer homemade tortillas!..tacos were good size and equal portions of ingredients..usually most places load ya down with potatoes..were really good and would definitely stop again..they do open at 6am..
Bottom line: JP is the man, when I was attending A&M I would make the trip to see JP and eat his delicious tacos 3-4 times a month. His wife runs the kitchen and he spends all freakin day smoking the delicious taco meat. Get the Beef fajita tacos and breakfast tacos and YOU CAN'T GO WRONG. I live in Houston now and have nights of cold sweats thinking about JPs tacos. I have friends that drive in from DALLAS and buy MONTHS of tacos and tamales. He has to give JP a weeks notice to prepare him for the order. Bring cash, leave addicted.
