Gelson's - Calabasas

Always friendly staff. Great at checkout. And no horrible lines.

Lovely store with a great selection of liquor (found 2 of my faves there). It 's clear that this is a locals only store, though. Friendly as I am, they definitely wanted me to know that they knew I was an outsider (I was visiting my sister and stopped to grab something for her). No one was unkind, though, just dismissive.

Lovely staff, products, and market. I love this place!

Their bakery desserts are to die for, which is why I went. I also couldn't resist visiting the deli. It's pricey, but a nice treat once in a while, and not have to cook dinner. Excellent food.
