La’era Ibiza - Cala Llonga

Finca de agroturismo con 5 hab para huéspedes y restaurante en porche frente a la piscina. Pocas mesas. Servicio impecable. Carta pequeña, con platos típicos que hay que solicitar 24h antes. Cocina excelente y muy bien presentada. 90€/pax

We were completely spoilt in having the restaurant and perfectly attentive staff to ourselves as we had a booking a few days before the opening of the rooms, and diners at a second table didn’t arrive. The food was spectacular. We tried the degustation (80 euro which unlike some UK restaurants was actually a selection of the dishes from the a la carte menu just coming half sized. Surely this is how it should be? Each course was considered, delicious and the right size. Starting with home baked bread and a selection of olive oils then appetisers, fish dishes, meat (melt in the mouth goat ! , sorbet then dessert. The accompanying wine flight didn’t disappoint either perfect pairings. With the weather giving us rain we didn’t sit on the terrace but although the views are of course spectacular you really should be coming here for the amazing cooking. This is fine dining yes, but not overblown with culinary quirks or oddity. I can’t recommend La’Era more highly. If you are visiting Ibiza and want a grown up fine dining experience that you will remember for a very long time then, for me, this is your restaurant.
