Tandoori Nights - CAIRNS NORTH

I ordered the calamari rings $17.90 for 8 rings coated in spices with mint sauce. They were ok, but expensive. I ordered the butter chicken which was very nice. The cheese and garlic naan was under cooked in places. Very disappointing, it was removed from the bill. The meal took 30 minutes for the rings to come to my table. The plastic table cloths were a cheap look. The tv would have been ok if it was playing Indian music or movie.

Excellent butter chicken! Quick service. Also had the peshwari bread, which was delicious! Reasonable prices. Good portions.

Been here several times over the years and loved it, The meal I had on Monday night was the worst indian I've ever had. Not sure if it's a change of hands or cooks but I ordered the beef vindaloo and the beef looked and tasted like corned beef of brisket ?? The crumbed calamari was mush, like some fried up mashed seafood stick?? And we paid $19.00 for it as an entree. When I asked the waitress she shrugged her shoulders and said she will ask the cook but never came back to us?? Tasteless and was no comparison to what we were used to in the past....Such a pity!! Very disappointing, we won't be back!!
