Bidrage med feedbackInflation aside this place has gone pretty expensive especially considering it's Caerphilly, not Cardiff Bay! £17 for a chicken burger (festive) that's not even real chicken, just processed chicken (supermarket job basically).
Great that the Angel have decided to open back up for outdoor dining and have lots of seating available. The new app ordering is a welcoming new touch however may be difficult for some to navigate. Might be better to have the QR codes on the tables rather than having to go through Facebook. The conservatory extension with bifolding doors is we sat. The evening did get quite cold as there are not heaters provided. I brought a blanket with me. They are serving food and drink in take away containers and cutlery is is disposable wooden knives and forks (bring your own if you order food that needs cutting). The food was lovely, tasty and huge portions the new chef is a welcome change. Will be returning.
Lovely food ,staff very friendly enjoyed our evening. Would definitely go back
Awful evening here tonight. Catering for a special Birthday and the disgraceful service lack of service was so bad. Sat down at 7pm, some of us had our mains an our later than others. Children’s meals were beyond awful. No one got to eat together. Children’s deserts delivered at 9.45pm, a total joke and had to keep asking for them. Final deserts came out at 10.20 when lots of the party had already left, the attitude was awful, the rudeness of staff was shocking and the food was not edible. Will never go back here. If you want to eat with your friends and family and have a great time, avoid this place.
This has gone down hill massively, I’m surprised at the positive reviews. Small menu. The curry was like a microwave meal, dry hard naan breads. The fish was soggy and undercooked. Frozen chips. I won’t return, a real shame as it used to be nice years ago. Staff were polite. No one asked how the food was when they took our plates, but I suppose they could see I’d barely touched mine.
