Le Royal - Caen

We ate here once, as the restaurant is literally part of the hotel building in which we stayed (but not obviously in the possession of the hotel!? overall it was 't a 'bad' experience, but something was just 't there. my wife had turbot, a part of it was simply not. the waitress was indifferent to her commentary and never mentioned her when she cleaned up dishes. I closed. I ate this in many restaurants. it's a favorite of my wife and me. a half of the steak was unusable! I've never seen this before with this choice. because of our experience this evening we have never returned.

Service is professional and friendly, eating is great and the prices are very reasonable. service is outside and inside unfortunately we could not eat outside the rain).

What a great brasserie with excellent service, great eating of high quality and an amazing wine card! on a vreat location. very recommended to have a great lunch/dinner/drink. the star is also royal

We enjoyed one dinner here. The food was quite good and the menu is some diversity, useful for groups with different preferences. The dining room is comfortable, but there are also some sidewalk tables. We missed out on a dessert that looked awesome profiteroles... because we were too full from dinner and never made it back. Just a solid place in every way and convenient if you are staying next door at the Royal Hotel/

Poor customer service, very sad salad ..... we were not told restaurant was closing when we ordered, it was only about 7.30, made to feel we were holding them up
