Bidrage med feedbackA impeccable service in the waldorf astoria cabo san lucas. mixed results on eating. my wife and I showed up at el farallon and don manuels during our recent visit to cabo for a high time. overall, the entire staff in the waldorf astoria are excellent and very attentive. from memory of their names to offer them a deck when a bit cool, they have a very service-oriented team. the ambiente at el farallon cannot be overhauled. great view of the cliff side. the food was mixed. the appetizers and desserts were great. but both the blue fin of my wife and my seabass were overwhelmed. we had a similar experience at don manuel. Top-notch service. my daughter and son-in-law joined here. again the service was fantastic. great wine selection. some of the best soup cups we had recently. the soft-shell basket risotto was perfect. Unfortunately, I had the same experience here with my yellow fin as the fish was clearly overcooked. In summary, the waldorf astoria is one of the best resorts in cabo! you will not find a better attentive service. the restaurants el farallon and don manuels offer fantastic ambiente and have a great staff. eating is very good at both, just want to be clear how they want to cook their fish.
The food was then much less expected. the personal was wonderful. location and intention was not to see. I wish that was better. only one of the 4 in our group was satisfied with their meal, and that was a hamburger. the food price was not with the pleasure of eating on the place.
We have married in the waldorf last week and what an experience it was, especially eating at don Manuel’s! we were in the waldorf astoria and we were best treated. we even caught one of the days fish and don manuel prepared it for us absolutely delicious. the breakfast was so good. every day it was a great experience. will go back every time we go to kabo!
Upon arriving a few minutes early, we were asked if we wanted a cocktail. We felt like the tequila cocktails were heavily pushed. At 5:00 which was our reservation time, we were walked to the wrong restaurant. Then we were told someone would come get us in a golf cart to take us to the other side of the property to the correct restaurant. Completely drenched in sweat at this point after walking because there was no golf cart, we arrived at the correct restaurant about 5:10. We were told to have a seat in the bar area for cocktails appetizers because dinner wasn’t until 6:00. Nobody acknowledged us in the bar area until about 5:55 when a waiter finally asked if we wanted an appetizer (from the lunch menu which ended at 6:00). We ordered chips guac and then were taken to our table around 6:10. Our waiter was nice but didn’t seem to be too educated on “gluten free”. Food was just ok, not anything that we expected from a 5 star restaurant. Decided to get the gluten free churros for dessert which came with chocolate sauce caramel sauce. After we started eating the churros and dipping them in the chocolate sauce, our waiter comes back and says that the chocolate sauce may not be gluten free. Overall, not a good experience. The signature cocktails were pushed throughout the whole dinner and into dessert. It really seemed like that was the main focus…to push the tequila cocktails. Will not be back and would not recommend other than for the view.
Dinner was perfect, service impeccable, views were amazing.
