Stayed locally at Ribera de Pena area and had three nights to explore Restaurants for our evening meal . Caniero is so fabulous that we ate here two nights out of our precious three. Decor is really beautiful ,clean sleek with a blend of modern meet class. The menu is typical of the foods sourced in Portugal. Between the Four of us over the Two nights we tried everything from the Baked Cod to the squid Veal potatoes and salad. All dishes were beautiful and the staff were more than accomadating ... we were treated like Royalty . Dessert was a traditional egg souffle.. it was presented to us with a flaming Brandy soaked surface . This was compliments of the house. We were blown away by the care and attention to our experience . This Restaurant is not expensive and the experience will stay with us forever . Thank you so much to all the staff and owners of this Beautifully restored Gem . Enjoy
