Ho Fat - Bury

Used to go to this chippy at least three times per week before the price rises. The prices remained not too bad up until not long ago, but now it's gone ridiculous. Not only have the prices gone through the roof, they are obviously making the portions smaller as well. Just got one lot of large chips and couldn't believe it when I got home and unwrapped them to find a tiny pile of tiny chips.not looked more like the scraps that you might throw away than one large lot of chips. £1.70 for gravy!!! Who on earth is willing to spend that for a spoon full of gravy? As for the weekend takeaway which was always the more expensive stuff on the menu.....no chance now. Ho Fat have lost my family's custom for good. I would rather eat beans on toast and let these price hikes either close the chippys down or force the prices back to what they should be. Good luck Ho Fat, you will need it with your new prices and smaller portions.

Ho Fat is a firm favourite with us. The special fried rice dish is recommended as to the soups crispy duck pancakes spring rolls prawn crackers and curry sauce. The English dishes are v good too- the chips are always tasty. Pleasant prompt service. Well worth a visit.

Waited 2 hours for a delivery. Called to see where it was and they said they were very busy. Wanted the food delivered within the next 30 mins or I would cancel. The lady on the phone was rude and said shall I cancel it’s not been started. Food eventually came ….salt and pepper chips soggy and full of grease, sweet and sour chicken no sauce crispy salt and pepper combo was a teeth breaker. Took food back for a refund. Absolutely disgusting and the lady dint even say a single word. Would NOT recommend

Popped in for takeaway on bank holiday Monday, ordered the meal for 1, amazing tasty hot and sour soup, followed by spring roles,best beef and black bean sauce in prestwich, egg fried rice cooked to perfection,this meal was under £9, great value, thankyou, I be back.

Horrendous service. Ordered online and without any option to cancel 40 minutes was added to delivery time. When delivered a main meal was missing. Took 15 minutes to get through on the phone and when I eventually got to speak with someone she denied that I had ordered or paid for the item even though I had the confirmation email. I agreed to the item being sent out at a time cost of 30 mins so we all waited. After 45 minutes I phoned again and after her yet again having a deplorable attitude it turns out it had been sent to the wrong address. She was very defensive and argumentative and said she would send a driver with the £5.70. I explained that wasn’t really good enough as essentially the whole £45 order was ruined but she was adamant and that was the end of it, she then put the poor driver on the phone and off she went. I will NEVER order here again but have to say the driver, Javid, was absolutely lovely, completely understood where I was coming from and even came round with the £5.70 himself. He should be running the place not the nowty old hag that does and Both reviews and service would be much better.
