Botoli Restaurant - Burwood

Went there recently, food was mediocre, service was 'minimal', food was passable, price was average had the laksa/ chow mein and the rice noodle pho, came in with great expectations came out with a full stomach but to give this place 5 stars, maybe I am missing something?

Botoli had been around for over 20 years run by the same owner, how did the Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant with "Italian" name maintains the status as one of the most popular restaurant in Burwood when it still baffles new patrons wondering about the authenticity!The open secret is that it provides consistently good quality lunch and dinners with good service at a reasonable price. You can make it "your" daily or weekly kitchen for your family or friends.It is not a fine dining restaurant with expensive "trimmings" it is basic but good, it serves the basic need of most people who needs a good meal without breaking the bank.It has a big advantage of a large "function" room upstairs which can cater for over 80 patrons, many professional organisation hold regular meetings there.

We eat here all the time! The food is absolutely delicious. Especially the braised beef or pork in the nine dragon sauce. What it lacks in decor, it makes up for in the food. Affordable and good value as well. We have been eating here for years and we love it.

Had dinner there with a group of friends. Like all Chinese restaurants, a big group is needed to be able to sample a bigger range of dishes. Campfire beef is full of flavours. Tofu in a hot pot with vermecilli. Best I have had. Chinese vegetables are done simply and flavours are so good. Crispy Chicken with mushrooms with soy sauce. Not a single dish that was not up to par. BYO. Décor is simple but the culinary experience great

I've been coming here since I was at school over 20years ago being first introduced by my grandparents. I never get sick of the food, nor have they ever given me reason to find another place that serves noodle soups. I've moved but I always come back to Burwood to eat the food. I've since introduced my wife and family to Botoli's and we all love it and look forward to coming back to eat there when we are in Sydney. It may not be the most modern looking restaurant in Burwood nowadays but what lacks in looks it makes up in flavor. We just love it
