Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen - Burnaby

First time ordering from Popeyes. Downloaded the app for some coupons. 2 Can Dine was around $12.99 and added $3 for upgrading to all dark meat. Also got a free pie with the coupon?was too full, will save the pie for tea time???? Chicken pieces were moist, succulent and the skin was very crunchy!! The only complaint was everything was extremely salty including the meat. Loved the Cajun fries, onion rings were nice but got very soggy when we got home. Service was extremely friendly and cheerful! Thanks for taking my Monday blues away!????

Dec 17 Revised my review to 5 stars, as Popeyes customer service and the Store supervisor took appropriate corrective actions to restore my satisfaction level. Thank you and I will come back to this store! Check your take out before leaving. Only received 4 of 6 chicken tenders in my take out order tonight.

For those who like fried chicken, this is for you! For the longest time I've wanted to try Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen at Po Co but the majority of the reviews from Church's Chicken fans didn't care much about it. This is important as I'm a big Church's Chicken fan! Anyways , a brand spankin' new Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen at 7855 Kingsway Burnaby, so I decides to mosey on downs ther' to see hows they ares. Here's my FIRST impression: 1. MORE SALTY. But not as salty as KFC! Granted we've only tried this ONCE. It is possible that they added too much salt at this particular time AND place. As you Church's fans know, even certain Church's Chicken locations are better than others . 2. CRISPY LIKE CHURCH'S. Nice and tender and juicy too...pretty much the same. 3. NOT AS SPICY. The spiciness didn't last as long as Church's spicy chicken and weren't as spicy. Fine with me as I generally just go for the regular. 4. MENU was not as clear for JUST CHICKEN. I couldn't see the pricing and had to ask. They had all sorts of combos but all I wanted was just chicken. You can't just order a single piece like you can in Church's , so I had to order minimum of 8 all dark. It came out to be twenty something.. sorry I forgot the exact price! 5. NOT AS LARGE. It seems that Church's was a little more larger..but that can be the coating. SUMMARY: I'd stay with Church's. The taste is better somehow. Stay away from the North Road Church's. I ALWAYS get a negative experience from there as far as chicken goes. Not hot enough, mistakes in orders, etc. By the way it's pronounced Church's NOT ChurchES Chicken. It's the originator's family surname like Lam's Chicken , Ikejo's Chicken, or Joe Louis' Chicken, my favourite boxer! . The Chicken franchise belongs to the Church family...NOT to the church family as in the body of Christ!

Edible, alright, could be better. I've had fresher Popeyes from other locations. The fries were soft and soggy, the chicken was dry and not crispy, the onion rings barely had onion content to them and were mostly batter, the gravy was oddly chunky, and the biscuits were dry.

Ordered an 8 pcs spicy, large red beans and rice, regular gravy, and large coke. Everything was great as usual, except we did not receive the gravy, but got regular red beans qnd rice instead.
