Bidrage med feedbackI’m so excited to be writing this post because 1) I’ve wanted to try Green Leaf Cafe ever since they opened a location in Burnaby, and 2) there are just so many fun foods to share with you all!. Green Leaf Sushi is located along W. Broadway and that location is just too far for me to go to so I was so excited about Green Leaf Cafe opening up by Lougheed Mall.
4.2. Green Leaf is always busy so be prepared to wait, but it will be worth it...the food is delicious. We ordered the linguini in cream sauce with mussels. We only wish the portion was bigger! We also ordered three of the box sushi rolls, the salmon, the negitoro, and the tuna with crispy rice. All were very good, probably some of the best box sushi we have had in and around the lower mainland! Definitely order the tuna with crispy rice, that was our favourite. Prices are fair and service was good. We will be back.
My friend recommended Green Leaf Sushi as her favorite restaurant in Vancouver. Despite its location on West Broadway near Alma Street, which is a bit of a trek for me, I was thrilled to discover a second location called Green Leaf Cafe near Lougheed Town Centre in Burnaby.
One word of caution: avoid ordering the OMG roll. It's a large sushi roll with bland rice (despite being listed as gimbab) topped with a strange wasabi sauce that can be overpowering. For a more detailed review and additional photos, visit my blog.
We ordered a variety of dishes from the menu, including Osaka-style Tako Yaki, Deep Fried Dashi Tofu, Crispy Chicken, Prawn Fritters, Snapper Fritters, Sockeye Salmon Avocado, and Beef Yaki Udon. The kitchen service was impressive as all our dishes arrived at the same time, beautifully presented with vibrant colors and diverse textures. The food was delicious, with standout dishes for me being the snapper fritters, dashi tofu, fresh oshi, and beef yaki udon. My partner enjoyed the tako yaki, dashi tofu, snapper fritters, and avocado halves from the fresh oshi. The prawn fritters and crispy chicken were just okay, as the prawns lacked flavor and the chicken pieces were too thickly battered. Overall, we had a wonderful lunch experience at Green Leaf and enjoyed the variety of flavors and textures in our meal.
