Events Unlimited - Burlington

In the past this was good place to eat, but the last 3 years have seen it drop to a place I will never go back to. Yesterday, I ordered the salmon patties and 2 veggies. the patties overcooked and burnt and the crowder peas and corn were terrible. ONly the cornbread was good.

I loved their food! I tried it at my workshop (it was every tuesday) After my workshop, I began to go on my own, and tried their other dishes. I have been pleasently surprised.

Omgoodness! Could there be any better desserts in Burlington? Such a hidden gem. Now, when we arrived about 1:00 on a Tuesday, the staff was exhausted. One waitress doing EVERYTHING. Not her fault just the reality of the situation. Take a dose of patience because the brownstone front cake makes it all wash away.

So disappointed with our visit, and we used to like Delancy's very much. Tables weren't cleaned, silverware wasn't brought until after the food was delivered, fried food was soaked in grease, no butter for cornbread or lemon for tea, had to ask twice for tartar sauce and then it was inedible (tasted like blue cheese dressing). No server ever checked on us after the food was brought out. We try to be understanding that after Covid, many restaurants are short-staffed and that could be part of the problem, but the experience was very bad.

Food was okay. Only my second time here in 15 years Staff is unfriendly and snappy when asked a question. Should have walked out.
