Bidrage med feedbackThe rose seemed to offer the only roast dinner in the city. we were very glad we found it. I've eaten it thoroughly. the staff was friendly and efficient. the room began to fill while we were there and everyone had a good time.
Burger, where good and people I was with smash them and enjoyed them, seafood linguine was not. no chili, a few bits calamari and two garnel, a dry bug all tasted like tomatensuppe. expects to be honest with a pub. on the ozean, but the atmosphere and decor of the pub was great, beer was cold.
We took part on Saturday with friends for lunch. was already here a few times before, eating was always good. when we received our meal, the presentation was good, but the hunch shnitzel was just okay, and the parmi in order (as per commentary of our...party) my bark cheeks looked delicious and just fell apart. but they were gone, and I just couldn't break. I was finally asked to stand with a teller eating in the bar what the problem was. the personal apologised and replaced my meal with seafood linguine that was beautiful. at this time, of course, the rest of the party had finished their meal, the hotel did not even offer them a drink while waiting for me to receive and eat my meal. I contacted the hotel later to explain what had happened when they were pretty busy, the staff gave me the $2 back in the difference of the meal cost and said they were in contact. they never came in contact. that is not good enough that some follow to let me know what went wrong. I wonder how many other people got bark cheeks this day.
This restaurant is a hub for all types of activities - whether it be for work or for a fun night out! It's lively, casual, and very welcoming to families. It's a authentic Australian pub with delicious food, excellent service, and a friendly atmosphere perfect for catching up with loved ones. My experience couldn't have been better - I even struck up conversations with some new people at neighboring tables. I highly recommend trying the lamb dish, which came with all the trimmings and a tasty sauce to go with it. This place has a warm and welcoming Aussie vibe, and offers great value for the price.
Disappointed that Covid certification wasn’t checked on entry?? Thought that was supposed to occur at all restaurants and bars?? A family member was served at the bar without requiring to wear a mask and yet when I went to the bar I was asked to...put on a mask. I think your staff need to be all on the same page with rules and regulations surrounding Covid. Do you know that all your customers have had their vaccines before entering your premises? Not if they didn’t go to the bar you didn’t. You have cutlery and napkins in boxes on the tables which is not very hygienic in Covid times. Perhaps they need to be delivered with the meal and kept out of the general public area. The meal was the worst I have had at The Rose. Fish extremely salty, chips burnt and salad consisted of a pile of lettuce with 1 small piece of tomato drowning in dressing that should be on the side. As a family we have come to love the Rose for a meal out but tonight was extremely disappointing in every aspect.
