El Gaucho - Buenos Aires

We had a very bad experience in this restaurant from the bad ervice from the waiting staff to the bad quality of the food.

This place is located in a popular pedestrian street only so it will meet all tourist. they can eat fresco or inside. they had some specializations to be reasonable. I am not a red carnivore and had 1 4th in part chicken while my man ordered the raviolis. both were good and pleasant. the service was also good with the language barrier.

Dinner. my meal came and we waited for my men. asks when it would come and then was said that they did not have it, it is not coming perhaps my man should take the ravioli. I see how brot was partially eaten. in a box only for our waiter to take this same brot out and offer it to other guests yuck! don't go. there is a better option for the same or less price with much better service and food standards. our waiter was uncomfortable. I don't like being so negatiw, but I don't want others to know what we've done.

Overpriced for a good steak. I had a tender with fries. it was 22 and the fries were soggy greasy while the steak was just ok. the service was not very attentive.

Many restaurants touting for business we chose this one. We don’t speak Spanish but between us in English with the staff we had an excellent choice of Steak perfectly cooked a bottle of really excellent local Malbec and a local starter and pudding . Really...good coffee friendly attentive service. Took us a while to convince them that a steak between us was more than enough Large Meals were the norm. Everything including a tip less than 60 dollars US. They don’t do sterling. Absolutely first class.
