Bidrage med feedbackThe rating for this restaurant goes as an average between the quality of the food, the service and the overall experience. After months away from home we had the lust for some traditional food, so we went to Burebista. The food was very good....Great variety of the menu (really plenty choices) and great taste. The place itself can be better maintained, but for a neighborhood restaurant let’s say it’s average. Has a pretty big terrace, perfect for the hot late summer days. The inside place is nicely traditional decorated. A big minus goes for the toilet, which was disgusting to be used. The waiter was prompt, BUT had no mood for the job, a huge leak of professionalism and attitude. Even more, we ordered drinks, starters and main course, and somehow the starters arrived before the drinks! We were really hungry, so this did not matter too much, but it was not nice to see at all that the garlic sauce for the soup (which was very tasty by the way) came to the table in a nicked china. For main course we ordered ‘mici’ (also good) with french fries. Instead of french fries, we got wedges (terrible ones), because this is the way they serve this dish, but our waiter had no interest to mention this when we specifically requested french fries at the very beginning. Also when we wanted to pay by card, he told us that it’s not possible, as the bank terminal was out of order for the day. As we did not have cash with us and had to run to a ATM to get some, it would have been nice to get this information from the very beginning. So for all this service issues goes a ‘poor’. Overall it was not a bad experience because of the tasty food and our hunger. But don’t go here with to big hopes for a nice service or other restaurant related standards. As a last mention, the prices are really ok!
Basic traditional romanian food for reasonable price. Went there after a long day of travelling and for that this was very good. Nothing fancy, but you'll get your stomach full. Owner doesn't speak much English, but just enough to understand orders
Moldavian couple took me. They heard i love ‘ciorba’, soup, and romania makes very good ones. burebista next to theatre, apparently actors eat here. we had ciorba with pork and veggies, local corn polenta with bacon cheese and egg on it, plus a gigantic donought...for dessert wich i had to share. calories. all good. we spent RON not much thinking i m from london. staff very nice. as soon as they learned i was italian (i simply live in london) all changed and they became extra nice. one of the few places where being italian doesn’t spark a round of laughter.
Visited with family last week and found the food very pleasant and the staff good too. Singer was good too. I love traditional Romanian food so opted for mitetei (excuse spelling) with beans in sauce and grated cabbage to start. Delicious. For main course I...had a whole chicken with potatoes. Was decent enough but not as good as the starter. We had doughnut type things for dessert papingash? They were nice. Prices were ok (great by London standards) and overall was decent
The restaurant is small and nicely furbished. It also has a small terrace which is a cool retreat during hot summer days. The food is tasty and reasonably varied. The drinks menu is not reflective of the actual offer so you might get quite a...lot of negative answers from the waiters while asking for your drinks. The service is quite poor. The staff constantly forgets to bring parts of your order, they do not take into account any change requested from the standard dish (eg a change in sides or just removing something from the dish). The soups are really tasty and I enjoy getting a soup there every once in a while but I would not recommend it due to the poor service.
