Candlewyck - Buckingham

First and last visit. Stopped in for a few drinks and to grab a bite to eat at the bar. The bartender must have been a little overwhelmed as it took a little time to ask us what we would like to drink. We received our drinks but she was off before we were able to ask for a menu, none was offered. We were able to get our hands on them after getting their attention. While we looked over the menu trying to decide what to eat, a regular received their chicken parm dinner. We looked over and it looked good, plated over pasta. The regular mentioned to the bartender the chicken parm was good but the pasta was gross. We decided against eating there, got the bill and checked out. A few days later looking at my credit card statement and noticed I was charged more than I had written on the slip which included a tip. I called to get it resolved and was offered the cash but I needed to pick it up or get a gift card. I live about 15 miles away so it would be too much time and travel to resolve their mistake. Filed a credit card dispute instead…

The place is a bit of a “dive bar”, but only in the best sense of the words. Food is really good and priced fairly. The staff is always friendly to myself and my family. Could the dining room use a bit of an update? Sure it could, but I think it adds to the charm. Check out the weekly specials they’re always on point.

We loved our first visit here! The waitress was so beyond helpful with our grandchildren. She made them feel so special, happily cleaned messes they made and really gave us great service. Food was excellent and atmosphere was so cozy. We'll definitely be back!

Among the best wings I've ever had. The rest of the food is spectacular too. Very friendly staff and good beer selection. Great bottle shop attached as well. Breakfast in the bottle shop is great. Best pork roll, egg and cheese anywhere. The servers here are really excellent. New special on Tuesdays $6 for 10 wings!

The WYCK cheesesteak was amazingly delicious. Do not skip out on the cheese curds either. Wow! We will beack next time we are in the area.
