Echo St. Simons - Brunswick

They were out of the crab cake appetizer, so that was a bad start to the meal, but we both really enjoyed the shrimp tacos and honey-soy glazed salmon. Cocktails were great. My wife’s chocolate cake dessert was unfortunately dry. We still enjoyed the meal, level of service and the staff’s willingness to seat us away from a larger, noisier party.

Date night could have been better, the server might have been overwhelmed with the party of 9 adjacent, but she did not check on us resulting in not receiving our main entree and refilling water glasses even after 45 minutes. We requested the check and it still took another 10 minutes. From that point, the server comped the one glass of wine my gf had. Being in the service industry a proper compensation would have been to comp the dinner and at least a temperature check from management, but none was given even as we were leaving. We were given our dinner in to go boxes and still charged full price. Will attempt another reservation there, but not holding my breath anytime soon.

My wife, Dorene, and I live on the Island and have visited before. Valentine's Day dinner was excellent. She had the Truffle Rissoto and I had the Filet Mignon. Both were just as we hoped. Sitting by the window we had a beautiful view of the Ocean under wonderful conditions. There was a couple sitting outside and all of a sudden the man knelt down and proposed and thankfully for him she accepted! The wait staff took a few videos of it and went outside to clap for them. We have to let all know that our waitress, Jennifer, was exceptional. Attentive, friendly and upbeat. We will be back.

We had a nice evening out at Echo. It was a Friday Night and there was a nice, upbeat crowd. We were early for our reservation so we sat at the bar and had a cocktail. Perla was our bartender. She was very friendly, helpful, efficient and the cocktails were very good. We were seated at our table right on time. The table was in a great spot and when the nights get longer we would have had a great ocean view! The menu is extensive and the food was very good. Our waiter was Zack and he was also very friendly, helpful and efficient. Their corkage fee is $15 and we brought our own wine which we like to do when a restaurant allows it. We will definitely go back.
